Professional Experience
Aug – Sept 07 Work placement at Simon Hamilton Interior Design Ltd
Small and successful Interior Design Practise specializing in high-spec Residential and Commercial Projects. Thanks to the company size (we are 3 in the office) I have been thoroughly and deeply involved in every single design step. My role involves:
- Sourcing materials and mounting samples boards for Clients presentations
- Designing sketches and consulting for the overall design schemes
- Designing detailed specs and liaising with suppliers for quotes and sample requests
Feb – Apr 08 Work placement at Burberry Ltd
My placement being in the Product Development office (Men’s Accessories), in contact with the suppliers and, in the other hand, with the Designers.
Thanks to the big size of the company I have had the chance to learn a professional approach and I have been thoroughly into every single step from the design to the production. My role involves:
- Making specs for men’s accessories and books for raw materials and hardware
- Liaising with suppliers for quotes and sample requests
- Helping to develop the functionality and aesthetic of the products
Nov 11 – June 12 Freelance Designer for Envy Corp Un Limited
Design a collection of nylon computer bags and accessories for young presenting a detailed project with prints, materials and accessories.
I also coordinated the realization of first prototipes in Italy liaising with suppliers and laboratories.
March 09 – Now Graphic Designer – Art Director Assistant for Class Roberto Cavalli (Dressing Spa)
My work develop in multiple directions from the design of all collection’s prints to the realizations of mood boards and sketches. I’m also Fashion Coordinator for the textile accessories collections.
My role also involves:
- Assist the Art Director in choice of materials and accessories
- Liaising with suppliers and with product development offices
- Organize commercial presentations and moods
March 13 – Now Freelance Graphic Designer for Christian Pellizzari Man’s Collection
Design the graphics for the t-shirts and the all-over prints liaising with the printing laboratory.
